The Best Weekly competition extends for 20 weeks (approx.) beginning late April/early May. Participants are divided into flights based on their season opening handicap indexes. Awards to weekly winners and runners-up in each flight are based on “low net scores” posted (adjusted to course rating) each week running Sunday through Saturday. Low net is the player’s “gross score” for 18 holes minus his current posted computerized handicap (i.e. current GHIN handicap at tee-off) for the tees that are played. Best scores of the week prevail.
Now that we are back at Braemar, we return to our tried and true scoring procedures.
- Play 18 holes with another BMC member.
- Sign and attest your scorecard.
- Enter your score along with the other required information on the Saturday Net 18 Scoresheets located in the Men’s Locker room downstairs (it could be in the Hoyt room off to the right. logistics still being worked out with Braemar.)
- Deposit your scorecard in the Saturday Net 18 slot of the multi-colored box located near the Scoresheets.
- Post your score into the GHIN system. You can do it at the course you play, GHIN app, home computer, etc.
- All scorecards must be received by 7:30 Sunday morning for the previous week. That’s when I do recaps. No scorecard means you either didn’t play or had a crappy round.
This event earns 3 Ed White Shootout Points. Sign up via the BMC Membership application. Or, you can join anytime during the season. Just let me know and I’ll set you up. Entry Fee is $15. On average, 70% of the participants win money. 37% recover their entry fee. Talk about a good investment!
Prizes
Gift Certificates redeemable for merchandise in the Braemar Pro Shop are awarded to the weekly winners. Winnings are electronically posted to your account associated with your players card.
Weekly Results will be posted in the Men’s Club area of the Clubhouse and on this area of the website.
